SG News Scope

About

Independent journalism from the heart of Singapore's financial district

SG News Scope was founded to serve professionals who need reliable, context-rich coverage of Singapore's business and technology sectors — without political spin or promotional noise.

Our newsroom

SG News Scope operates from Level 12 of Chevron House at 30 Raffles Place — in the centre of Singapore's financial district. Our location keeps correspondents close to the companies, investors, and institutions they cover daily.

The newsroom was established in 2026 by journalists and analysts who saw a gap in the market: Singapore deserved a dedicated business and technology news portal that prioritised editorial rigour over click-driven sensationalism.

We are registered with ACRA as SG News Scope Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202947382K) and operate as a privately held company with no government ownership or political affiliation.

We invest in training correspondents on sourcing ethics, conflict-of-interest disclosure, and the Personal Data Protection Act — ensuring our reporting respects both accuracy and privacy obligations.

Editorial independence

SG News Scope accepts no payment for editorial coverage. Advertising, when present, is clearly labelled and separated from news content. We do not publish political endorsements, government press releases presented as independent journalism, or course listings disguised as news articles.

Our mission is straightforward: help Singapore professionals understand the business and technology forces shaping their industries. That requires independence, and we protect it fiercely.

Our editorial standards

Every article published on SG News Scope passes through a structured editorial workflow. Writers verify facts against at least two independent sources before publication. Corrections are published promptly with transparent notes when errors are identified. Conflicts of interest — whether financial, professional, or personal — must be disclosed to the editor-in-chief before assignment.

We maintain a public corrections policy and welcome reader feedback at [email protected]. Our commitment to accuracy is not negotiable, even when it means delaying publication to verify a critical detail.

Community and partnerships

SG News Scope collaborates with industry associations, research institutions, and event organisers to deliver comprehensive coverage of Singapore's business and technology ecosystem. Partnerships are always disclosed and never influence editorial judgment.
